No, Cronopower does not trickle charge batteries. Motors will only charge once every 6 months or once every 4 months depending on how they are set up. If a motor is not actively charging, there is not power going to the motor. The intelligence of the system ensures that only one motor charges at a time.

Cronopower offers four types of motor cables in 12 Volt and 5 Volt options. We work with virtually all major motor manufacturers including:
Somfy
Automate
Coulisse
Nice
Top
Vertilux
Amp
Bliss
Crestron... and more.
(don’t see the motor you use listed? Contact us and let us know)

No, Cronopower is doing the same thing as an end user plugging and unplugging a charger; we are just doing that electronically. When the batteries are not charging there is no voltage being applied to the motor.

Yes, upon initial installation and power up the MotorTaps will charge motor 1 after one day and motor 2 after three days. Each motor in the system will charge for 6 hours (or less if the motor does not need a full charge), so initial charging of the system can take several days depending on the number of motors installed. We suggest you install motors that have enough charge to last a couple of weeks if needed. At any time a manual charge can be initiated instantly by using the user button on the MotorTap. See "Initiating a Charge" in the how to section for more information.
*Note: Newly installed MotorTaps default to charge once every 3 months after the initial charge. See "How to Change the Charging Interval" in the how to section for more information on adjusting the charging interval.

No. Rechargeable battery motors have internal shut offs built in so they do not overcharge. The motor taps can also sense when a battery is fully charged and will shut off power.
- 06
Yes. Any number of powerhubs can be installed in a project; however you should not connect one power bus to another.
- 07
Up to 20 MotorTaps can be connected to one PowerHub. If more MotorTaps are needed on a project an additional PowerPub will need to be added.
- 08
The power bus connected to one PowerHub can be up to 500' long. This total footage of cable is accumulative.
